John Wood is Founder and Board Co-Chair of Room to Read, an award-winning international education organization. Founded in 2000, the organization has helped over 6 million children across the developing world. Room to Read’s network has grown quickly. Today over 19,000 girls are enrolled in the long-term Girls Education program. Room to Read has opened over 1,6000 schools and 14,000 bi-lingual libraries. Over 11 million books have been put into circulation for children in ten countries across Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia.
