Dr. Kate Kaminska

Dr. Kaminska is a defence and security professional with a diverse background in complex problem solving and program management. During her tenure at DRDC, Dr. Kaminska participated in a number of high-profile research initiatives including an After Action Review of security at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games and a firearm evaluation project for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Kaminska also led a federal project on using social media in emergency management and the social media component of the Canada – U.S. Enhanced Resiliency Experiment. In her current role, Dr. Kaminska manages the science and technology innovation investment portfolio. Dr. Kaminska holds a B.Sc. in Engineering and a Ph.D. in Physics, both from Queen’s University.
